Yippee! I'm going to Montreal. I've decided to go to WorldCon this August, now that it's finally coming somewhere within driving distance. Montreal is about a 10-hour drive from here, which for me, in my usual state of disgust with the airline industry, is driving distance.
I haven't been to WorldCon in years, not since it was in Philadelphia a while back. I haven't been to Montreal in even more years, but it's a great city. The place is right, the timing is right, and making the decision right now and getting it on the calendar makes the trip that much more likely to happen. In fact, I even applied to be on the program. Now I can vote for the Hugos.
I am filled with which Anticipation, which, by the way, is the conference title.

we're staying home. Dr. P is working on the souvenir program and the Hugo printed materials (ballots, etc.) though.
And I just really read your bio. Like the fact you befriend dragons. And we are still occasionally picking legos out when we clean under Roh's radiator.
A friend of a friend used to be the live-in child help for my house's previous owner. The first time Tori (friend came over) she burst out laughing. Her parents lived near us (now the Costco/Home Depot plaza) and when she'd had too much to drink, she'd come here to stay with Portia overnight.
She said Roh's room was the "lego room".
