current mood: cold

OK. That's enough cold weather. Can we have spring now, please?

Holy Crap

You live in the general vicinity of DC?

If so, you're suffering big time, we may have gotten warmer than 21 today (though last night our temps hovered around 1 degree.

More clothes. If you have SCA garb it's a wonderful thing in cold house. (well, mine is helped that I was rather fatter then so can layer without feeling like a stuffed sausage).

At least I think we're going to be able to get to Lawrence, KS both Christmas eve and Christmas day, it's supposed to snow/rain/whatever tomorrow but let up by evening.

Re: Holy Crap

I really shouldn't complain. We've had it so much easier than most of the country. I guess I'm a cold weather wimp.

Re: Holy Crap

Warmer than 21? That sounds brutal. Despite my complaints, I'm really glad we're here and not in the Midwest or New England, with the kind of weather in those regions lately. It was about 30 here the last couple of days, the first two days we've had with highs (just) below freezing, and that was plenty for me. For the rest of the week we're supposed to go back to having daytime high temps in the 40s and 50s. Thank goodness. Last week we had one day when it reached 66. That's the weather I want back!

I second that emotion. I had hoped for some relief while we're in Virginia Beach, but no such luck. It's cold here too.
