• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• On your blog or other social media, share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers! Everyone loves Teaser Tuesday. Post a link at www.ThePurpleBooker.com/ as a response to the week's Teaser Tuesday.

My teaser this week is from the terribly clever fantasy novel I'm reading, Libriomancer, by Jim C. Hines. The protagonist, Isaac, is a libriomancer, someone with the rare ability to magically reach into books and pull objects from them. I'm going to cheat a bit and provide a three-sentence teaser instead of just two sentences. It's actually the first paragraph of the novel, which was so much fun it pulled me right in.

"Some people would say it's a bad idea to bring a fire-spider into a public library. Those people would probably be right, but it was better than leaving him alone in the house for nine hours straight. The one time I tried, Smudge had expressed his displeasure by burning through the screen that covered his tank, burrowing into my laundry basket, and setting two weeks' worth of clothes ablaze.'"
