  • 1903 - Bruno Bettelheim, Austrian-born American child psychologist and writer who gained international fame for his work on Freud, psychoanalysis, and emotionally disturbed children.

  • 1904 - Roger Duvoisin, Swiss-born American writer and illustrator, known for his picture books.
