Teaser Tuesdays: Clash of Kings

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Books And A Beat.

Teaser

Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

Grab your current read
Open to a random page
Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page, and post a comment at Books And a Beat with a link to your post.
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

I'm currently re-reading (again) the "Song of Ice & Fire" series. Here is my Teaser; it's a quote from one of my favorite characters, Tyrion Lannister, a dwarf. Flanked by his guards Bronn and Timmett, Tyrion has confronted his teenage nephew, Joffrey, a cruel boy who is, unfortunately, the king. When Boros Blount, a member of the Kingsguard, objects to his tone, Tyrion responds.

"Tyrion Lannister raised an eyebrow. 'I am not threatening the king, ser, I am educating my nephew. Bronn, Timmett, the next time Ser Boros opens his mouth, kill him.' The dwarf smiled. 'Now that was a threat, ser. See the difference?”

Teasers Tuesday

I like that quote. :) TYrion's time as Hand was fun, especially when he stood up to Joffrey. Nice!

Sounds good!

I may be the only person on the planet who hasn't read any books by this author. This series is on my TBR list.
My Tuesday post features a mystery thriller: THE SHADOW CARTEL. (http://sandranachlinger.blogspot.com)

Re: Sounds good!

I like your teaser, too! (And I highly recommend the George R.R. Martin series. The books are much better than the TV show.)
