This week's topic: Fall. It was November, a few years ago, and we were hiking around an old Civil War era fort on the other side of the river. On the path up ahead, I spotted this long-stemmed yellow rose lying on the autumn-brown leaves. Its color and texture provided such a contrast to the dried fall leaves. I tried to imagine how it had come to fall there.
What a fascinating picture - you're right on about the colours and contrasting textures. Had a stumbled upon that scene I would have done exactly what you did . . . 'how did that Rose end up there?'
I hope that you had a great Thanksgiving.
Have a wonderful weekend.
