If This Is July 29, It Must Be Pizza. Or Not.

July 29th, 2015 (07:46 pm)

This morning the Today Show said it's National Chicken Wing Day and National Pizza Day. So we thought it our patriotic duty to go to La Casa for pizza. We did, and the pizza was great. Alas, when I arrived home and looked it up, I discovered that the Today Show erred. Yes, it is National Chicken Wing Day, but it is not National Pizza Day; it is National Lasagna Day. Does this mean I should eat Lasagna when it really is National Pizza Day, to even things out?

And today, July 30, was National Chili Dog Day, according to Hard Times Cafe, which has a vested interest in that sort of thing. :-)

I looked it up. It really was National Chili Dog Day, and not just for Hard Times. But I prefer Hard Times's vegetarian chili, dogless.

Today, on the other hand, July 31, we have three official foods to celebrate: cotton candy, jelly beans, and raspberry cake. So take your pick! Even more important, it is Harry Potter's birthday and J.K. Rowling's. Happy HP Day!
