A Week In the Life of Cathy, volume 6

April 24th, 2008 (11:53 pm)
sleepy

current mood: sleepy
current music: Horse With No Name

First, to review the game:
The idea is to take 6-8 photos a day for a week and post them on the site in consecutive order. Each one must be accompanied by the exact time it was taken and a title, with no further explanation.

Today was mostly a stay-at-home kind of day. On my few excursions out, I didn't actually take any photos. So, for my day in pictures, I'm documenting what goes on around the house on an uneventful day:

8:04 a.m. My Husband Bob Vacuumed This Morning...

8:57 a.m. ....While I Paid the Bills. Let the Good Times Roll.

2:31 p.m. Clarence, the Littlest Member of our Family

2:32 p.m. Sneaky the New Hampshire Bear

2:36 p.m. Mother Panda Barney A. with Baby Panda Shelly and Rosario the Penguin

4:06 p.m. My little boy (right) plays with his friend Sammy.

6:23 p.m. Phone Wars: After Languishing on Hold With a Credit Card Company To Learn Why My 9% Interest Rate Is 25%, I Proceed To Call a New Orleans Hotel To Learn Why My $122-a-Night Room Rate Is $201a Night.

7:15 p.m. Bathtime for Cutie Pie!

I think I won the first battle and lost the second one. I got the credit card company to re-instate the 9% rate. But the hotel told me my room rate is actually higher only for the first day -- and the entire stay is charged to my credit card in full immediately, instead of waiting until I check in, with the whole amount forfeited if I should cancel -- because I'm arriving on the last day of the Jazz Festival, which I didn't know about and won't arrive in time to enjoy. Apparently all New Orleans hotels can do whatever they want during Jazz Festival, because rooms are so hard to come by. So much for Southern hospitality.
