Bookish Christmas Tree #9

December 25th, 2013 (11:35 pm)

As I mentioned in yesterday's post, I didn't have time to create my own Christmas Tree of Books. But a lot of the presents under my more traditional pine Christmas tree are books. (I just did a quick count and came up with 22 presents that are books this year, and I may have missed a few, if they've already left the living room.) So in a way, I already have a Bookish tree. But that's not surprising, seeing as how I live in a very Bookish house.

So my final Bookish Christmas Tree post is my very own tree, the Incredible Spherical Christmas Tree!

When we left here to drive out to a tree farm to choose and cut down our Christmas tree, I was envisioning something in a traditional, perfect cone-shaped tree. But it was late in the season, and the Christmas tree farm was all out of those. So we went for personality instead. This thing looks like you could pull it out of the stand and just let it roll around the living room, as a gigantic ball of Christmas tree. But that would make it hard to get to the books underneath.

Merry Christmas, book-lovers! And have a happy and literary 2014.
