NFPW Celebrates High-Achieving Journalists

We all had a great time at the NFPW Conference in Council Bluffs, Iowa, last week. I'll have various other photos to post from the trip, both from the journey there and back and from the conference itself. But I thought I'd start with some of my photos from the Friday night Communicator of Achievement banquet.




Beth Miller of Wilmington, Delaware, was named NFPWS's 2011 Communicator of Achievement, for her 30 years of reporting on news and sports, including covering the war in Afghanistan, the Gulf Coast after Hurricane Katrina, the Winter Olympics, and relief efforts in Haiti.





Terri Hahn, of Osceola, Nebraska, the features editor of the Grand Island Independent, was chosen by the judges as this year's runner-up. Congratulations to our two honorees and to all of the nominees!
